Grant Wehrli is a former Councilman for the City of Naperville. He was first appointed in 2005 to complete the term of a Councilman that unexpectedly retired. In 2007 Grant was overwhelmingly elected to his first full term and was re-elected in 2011.

As a member of the City Council, Grant championed concepts that implemented sound financial budgeting practices, limited government, transparency and free enterprise. His efforts played an integral part in the City maintaining the highest bond rating possible. Grant is an active community leader who also serves on the Naperville Development Partnership, the Naperville Riverwalk board, the Naper Settlement Museum board and the DuPage Mayors and Managers Legislative committee.

Grant attended Florida Institute of Technology and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale majoring in Aviation Management and Aviation Flight and is a commercially licensed pilot.

Grant is a lifelong resident of Naperville whose family history goes back to the 1840’s in Naperville. Grant grew up attending district 203 schools. He’s a loving husband of 22 years and is the father of two sons. As an involved father, Grant has been active in numerous youth sports in Naperville, coaching Naperville Park District soccer, Naperville Little League, YMCA basketball and St. Raphael youth football
